2020 is finally here, along with a long series of tips on how to customise your home to reflect the trends of the new year. Colour trends are certainly some of the most important, since they are a good indicator of the direction that the design and fashion industry will take over the next 12 months.
According to US paint giant Sherwin-Williams, 2020 will be the year of relaxing palettes that are heavily inspired by nature and are able to reconcile well-being and the home environment, transporting us – or at least our senses – away from the frenetic pace of everyday urban life.
If you want to give your home a makeover, here are some colour palettes to use in your rooms.
Mantra
The Mantra palette is distinguished by a range of relaxing colours, balanced between warm and cold shades, and is therefore perfect for study or work areas.
Haven
The Haven palette is perhaps the most inspired by the natural world, evoking the shades of the sea, sand and forest and perfectly complementing the living area.
Heart
The organic and silky shades of the Heart palette, inspired by the colours of corals, cloves and the earth, convey a natural feeling of well-being and openness, making them perfect for the bedroom.
